In the “Music and Movement” course, we want to support your child’s development by making music together and offering a variety of movement activities. In addition, the course offers space for parents to exchange ideas as well as free play and interaction with peers for the little ones.
In a prepared environment with a movement landscape and selected materials, the children can develop their natural urge to move. Songs, rhythmic games, kneeling riders and simple instruments create a variety of movement and sensory experiences.
Music acts as a natural stimulus for development: contrasts such as loud-quiet, fast-slow or high-low are experienced in a playful way. Children experience their first forms of communication through musical dialog, for example through call and response games. Songs, rhymes and repetitions playfully support language development.
The parent-child bond is strengthened through joint activities. At the same time, the children are given space to gradually detach themselves from their caregiver, become aware of other children and try out their first social play. Shared experiences, eye contact and imitation create early group experiences.
Parents have time to talk to each other and can discuss questions about development and everyday life with the course leader.
